TEETH WHITENING RUGBY

Boost you confidence with our Teeth Whitening treatments in Rugby

A whiter, brighter smile can be life changing, with its ability to help boost self-confidence and make you feel better about yourself. Natural tooth discolouration is unavoidable and something we all end up being affected by, and things like smoking or drinking a lot of coffee and red wine can enhance this.

WHAT IS TEETH WHITENING?

Teeth whitening is a cosmetic treatment which is safe and effective and involves bleaching your teeth to make them whiter. It is a popular, non-invasive, and affordable way to achieve a whiter and brighter smile in no time.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Teeth whitening uses a whitening agent, normally hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide to penetrate the enamel of the tooth and break down the molecules that discolour the teeth. This leaves them looking whiter and brighter than before.

Is teeth whitening right for you?

  • You’ll need to be 18 or over to have teeth whitening.
  • Your teeth and gums must be healthy, which your dentist will check during your initial consultation*
  • It’s best to delay having your teeth whitened if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, because it’s not clear whether the whitening products can affect the baby.
  • Be aware that teeth whitening won’t lighten the colour of any fillings, crowns, veneers, bridges or dentures. Our dentists here at Dorset House Dental, will assess your suitability for whitening and give you professional guidance on how to use your kit.

What is the teeth whitening process?

  • Step 1: At your check up, your dentist will make sure your teeth and gums are healthy enough for whitening treatment. If they are than we can proceed with taking impressions of your upper and lower teeth as well as checking the colour of your teeth.
  • Step 2: You’ll need to return to the practice to collect your teeth whitening kit. During this appointment, your dentist will ensure the trays fit correctly and comfortably, and they’ll show you how to use them with the whitening gel as well as confirming the current colour of your teeth.
  • Step 3: You will start whitening your teeth for each consecutive night for the next 2 weeks.
  • Step 4: Return to the practice to check the new whitened colour of your teeth and be ready to smile for the camera!

Why choose dentist-approved teeth
whitening treatments?

Teeth Whitening should always be done under the supervision of a dental professional. We love the results our patients can achieve with these treatments, but always urge our patients to remember that teeth whitening treatments obtained elsewhere may not be as effective or safe to use and they don’t always work.
